Hello,

Thank you for your time and interest in oral health. My name is Dr. Ben Emerson and I present this website as an opportunity for your greater understanding of the importance of oral health and the options available in treating periodontal disease, the benefits of dental implants and the restoration of your teeth. I have been in dentistry for over 30 years with the additional fortune to practice Emergency Room Medicine. Throughout my experience in both fields of practice I have been passionately committed to assisting and supporting my patients in their goal of physical health. The human body is an amazing, intricate machine that requires a dedicated effort to support and maintain its function. 

Oral health is especially important because it is well documented to have a direct effect on the health of the entire body. The advancements available in today’s dentistry offer us a wonderful opportunity to assist you in achieving and maintaining health.

Dr. Emerson was born in Columbia, South Carolina and grew up in nearby Camden. His parents owned and operated a small restaurant in which every member of the family worked. Dr. Emerson moved to Florida in 1983 and has been an active member of the Vero Beach community for over 20 years.

Dr. Emerson's training includes the following:

1964: Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), University of Tennessee
1967: Masters in Dentistry (MS), Specialty of Periodontology, Boston University
1981: Medical Degree (MD), Medical University of South Carolina
1982: Residency, Internal Medicine, Marshall University

Dr. Emerson has offices in both Vero Beach and Suntree. The Vero Beach office has been selected as a DEN-X® Image Guided Implantology (IGI) facility. This state-of-the-art technology enables Dr. Emerson to utilize three-dimensional CT images and live interactive guidance, to ensure predictable, safe, precision placement of every dental implant. Dr. Emerson has placed thousands of dental implants during his 27 years of practice in dentistry. You can feel confident in knowing he has the knowledge and experience necessary to provide you excellent care.
