Welcome to the Emerson Center for Oral Health website. I value your time and appreciate your interest in oral health. My name is Dr. Ben Emerson. We present this website as an opportunity for you to learn more about the importance of oral health and discover all the options available in treating periodontal disease, the benefits of dental implants and the aesthetic and functional restoration of your teeth. I have been in dentistry for over 30 years with the additional fortune to practice Emergency Room Medicine. Throughout my experience in both fields of practice I have been passionately committed to assisting and supporting my patients in their goal of physical health. The human body is an amazing, intricate machine that requires a dedicated effort to support and maintain its function.
Oral health is especially important because it is well documented to have a direct effect on the health of the entire body. The advancements available in today’s dentistry offer us a wonderful opportunity to assist you in achieving and maintaining health.

We are proud to have an exceptional group of dental professionals on our staff. Here is a brief introduction to each of the smiling faces you will see when you visit our practice.
Our Dental Assistants
Rebecca (Becky) has been with us for more than 7 years. She is a certified phlebotomist, nurse assistant and medical assistant and has special certification in expanded dental functions. She is especially skilled in assisting Dr. Emerson with I.V. sedation and has extensive knowledge in dental implants. She is quite familiar with all areas of the practice.
Krystal has been with the team since 2009. She is one of the sweetest persons you will meet. She has the most wonderfully gentle touch and always makes our patients comfortable and at ease. Krystal loves dentistry and getting to know all the patients. She is certified in dental radiology and expanded functions. She also can be found at our front desk on occasion.
Matt is an especially valuable member of our team. Matt is a firefighter/paramedic. This may seem like a curious skill for a dental office, but Matt's experience is directly beneficial in assisting Dr. Emerson during I.V. sedation. All of our staff are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support but the additional skills contributed by Dr. Emerson's experience as an Emergency Room Physician and the advanced training of a paramedic bring a uniquely specialized level of care to our patients. Our patients can rest assured they will receive excellent care during any sedation procedure.
Our Dental Hygienists:
Our dental hygienists are specially trained and licensed in preventative dental care. Our hygienists are here to help you develop and maintain good oral health.
April has been in practice as a dental hygienist for 18 years. She received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Santa Fe State College where she graduated with honors and served as class president. She is also a certified dental assistant. April has been with us since 2007 and is absolutely passionate about dentistry. She is our Lumineers Consultant and Technician and specializes in Periodontal Therapy. Her friendly, outgoing manner and experience make her a valued member of our team.
LuzMery is another valuable member of our team. LuzMery practiced as a dentist in Columbia before becoming a citizen of the United States. Her knowledge in dentistry and fluency in Spanish is especially helpful. She is here to ensure that you understand and appreciate the benefits of good oral health.
Our Financial Coordinator:
Margo has been with us for over ten years and is quite skilled in all business office duties. Margo has extensive experience in business accounting and banking. She is determined to help make your care as affordable as possible, from proactively handling insurance issues, to offering interest free financing.
